The mitochondria are well known to be the ‘energy powerhouse of the cell’, and more and more research points to the health of our mitochondria as the pivotal piece leading to health or disease. By incorporating cutting edge research in Quantum Biology and Integrative Medicine, Dr. Alexandra aims to create a fun and participatory experience where we learn about how to support our mitochondria and actually do it!
Full Description:
- Session 1:Â You will learn the basics of mitochondria, their function and how they can affect your health.
- Session 2: You will learn how light has impact on the body and mitochondrial function. How being mindful of seeing the sun at different times of day and exposure to different types of light can impact circadian rhythm, overall bodily and mitochondrial health
- Session 3:Â You will learn how the electron transport chain works and how different things can affect its efficiency. We discuss lifestyle methods to optimizing electron transport chain activity.
- Session 4: You will learn other factors that have been shown to impact mitochondrial health including hot/cold exposure, different ways to eat and certain health supplements that can have benefits.
