This didactic 5-part series helps to improve your sleep, which may be beneficial if you are struggling with pain and sleep. This program will coach you through a pain-informed approach to improving sleep through cognitive and behavioural interventions, addressing the root cause of most sleep issues. The primary focus of this program will be to improve sleep, but a secondary focus will be developing the ability to suffer less in the face of disturbed sleep.
This is a didactic 4-part series using mindfulness practice to support increased self-awareness. Persistent pain is a misunderstood condition, often doubted and disbelieved, and as a result, people living with it can struggle to feel seen and understood. Learn practical communication tools and engage in process-based learning by discussion of challenging relational circumstances often faced by people living with persistent pain. Topics include non-violent communication (NVC), empathy, active listening, emotional intelligence, boundaries, compassion, navigating conflict, and more.
Central Sensitivity / widespread pain (14-part series)
This course is delivered as a weekly 14-part series with Dr. Perel-Winkler. A 90-minute education and experiential group visit that incorporates pain science education with techniques to manage widespread pain and other symptoms that are experienced with central sensitivity (sleep issues, IBS, fatigue, brain fog, and more).
This is a 4-week series where we dive into exploring healing as a journey of coming into greater balance and homeostasis, reworking the narrative from curing to healing, and from improving symptoms to connecting to a meaningful path. We dig into embodiment, intuition, healthy boundaries and self compassion as tools to help one navigate this journey with more ease and grace. This class is great for patients who are looking for answers.
This 4-week series is focused on optimizing light/circadian rhythm, supporting optimal mitochondrial size/shape/health and flow of the electron transport chain. We include discussion on grounding, heat, cold, go deep into the electromagnetic spectrum as well as supplements to support health. It’s a ‘bootcamp’ because we discuss applicable lifestyle changes and check in on how we did to make these adjustments each week. This class is great for patients looking to work on root cause, optimize health and lifestyle, and those who struggle with chronic health conditions (metabolic health, fatigue/energy issues, chronic pain of course etc).
Living with complex chronic disease (12-part series)
This 12 week group creates a balance of community, connection and deeper exploration of themes that run through the lives of those living with chronic pain and complex disease. Each session, Dr. Perel-Winkler facilitates meaningful discussion around complex topics including meaning, identity, purpose, boundaries, relationships, grief, shame and more.
Thriving as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) (6-part series)
This is a 6-week didactic group series where Dr. Perel-Winkler will walk you through the research and evidence to greater understand Sensory Processing Sensitivity, the research term for trait behind the experiences of “Highly Sensitive People”.
